Take learning beyond the classroom with an immersive hands-on farm experience at Summerland Farm.
We’re excited to offer schools a new, affordable excursion package that combines real-world learning, outdoor exploration and plenty of time for fun. Lead by our passionate guides, students will explore orchards, paddocks and crop areas while learning how avocados, macadamias, and seasonal produce are grown and harvested. Along the way, they’ll gain insight into where food comes from, how farming works day to day, and the importance of caring for the land. Each tour runs for 45 minutes and accommodates up to 50 students, allowing your entire class to experience the tour together. The tour is wheelchair accessible, ensuring all students can fully participate.
$10 per student
Students will get the chance to observe and interact with some of our furry friends and learn about animal characteristics, behaviours and habitats, expanding their knowledge of the natural world.

Experiential learning through gardening seeks to engage students in thinking and doing. Students will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty and connect with nature while creating their own succulent habitat to take home and care for.
