A. We love our animals at Summerland Farm but for everyone’s safety, no pets are allowed on site. We’d hate to endanger our farm animals, and we adhere to all health and safety restrictions regarding animals in food areas. Guide Dogs or Seeing Eye Dogs are, of course, exempt.
Summerland Farm is a family facility, and we maintain health and safety standards for all our guests, at all times.
A. Please be aware that our gardens on site are mulched using a sustainable by-product of our macadamia dehusking facility. Macadamia husk is a great organic mulch but is not so good for those with an allergy. We ask that all families and visitors take this into account.
A. Summerland farm is committed to helping slow the spread of Covid-19 and following Australian Government guidelines. All visitors considering coming to site should only do so if they are free from Covid-19 symptoms and have not visited a formal hot spot in the prior 14 days.
Upon arrival, all patrons are asked to sanitise their hands, sign in and practise social distancing – keeping 1.5m distance from other guests and staff and following the directions of our workers.
Please note: If you are feeling unwell, have visited a ‘hotspot’ or have come into contact with someone with Covid-19, please stay at home.
A. Our Farm Café and Restaurant/Function menus cater for vegetarian and gluten-free diets. Please let us know if you have any intolerances and we will try to accommodate these. (Note: Pre-made food can’t be adjusted).
A. Yes. Our restaurant serves a range of local beers and wines. These are also available for our farm picnics (book at firstname.lastname@example.org). The Farm Café is not licensed. Sorry, no BYO is permitted on our grounds.
A. In the Barn Encounter you will see our rabbits, guinea pigs, hens and our mini goats. In the Paddock Encounter you will see our mini donkeys, mini cows and mini goats. Our animal encounters are $5pp.
A. Yes! We use our terrace in the case of wet weather and have two standard floor plans for this. Weddings with under 30 guests can use inside the rotunda in the event of wet weather. Your floor plan preference will be finalised at your last meeting. The decision to move to the wet weather option must be made one hour prior to the ceremony.
A. You’re welcome to hold a ceremony rehearsal prior to your Wedding. Rehearsals at the rotunda or restaurant gardens must be completed by 4.30pm and rehearsals at the fig tree or three trees locations must be complete by 4pm. Please advise your Venue Coordinator of the day and arrival time that best suits you.
A. Summerland Farm closes at 11pm. Please advise your MC to call last drinks at 10.30pm, with the bar closing at 10.45pm and music being turned off at this time as well. All guests must exit the restaurant before 11pm.
A. Of course! Please advise our Venue Coordinator of your guests’ dietary requirements (i.e. lactose free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian) one month prior to your wedding. We also require their name and location on the floor plan. Please note all dietary requirements incur an additional fee of $3 per person. Unfortunately, we can’t cater for dietary requirements advised on the evening.
A. We welcome functions after 3pm, 7 days a week in our Summerland Farm Restaurant. Function rooms are available during normal Restaurant hours and there are several other locations on site to host a function.
